Citizens Shale Advisors, LLC, is comprised of a small group of seasoned professionals with diverse backgrounds in science as well as executive management experience in the oil and gas industry. We remain involved in the oil and gas business as investors, consultants, or expert witnesses. We stay current with new technologies and the changing economics of energy by subscribing to the professional technical, business, and investment journals of the industry.
Individually, we have been asked to speak to hundreds of property owners and dozens of neighborhood groups who wanted a better understanding of the implications of signing an oil and gas rights lease. Our team members saw increasing demand from the public for expert guidance at a local and national level. No other resources with the necessary depth of understanding have been available to educate and safeguard property owners against the realities of the industry standard Producers' 88 lease.
Our efforts to appeal to elected officials on behalf of and in the interests of concerned individuals had very little impact. The aggressive leasing programs of energy companies in the Barnett Shale gas play in Texas have left property owners feeling at risk and with no protection. In response to this situation we formed Citizens Shale Advisors. Our group's collective mission is to be trusted advocates for property owners who want a fair, safe, and trustworthy agreement that puts their interests ahead of corporate interests.
